Next week, the last FOMC meeting of the year will arrive, with the interest rate decision set to be announced at 3:00 on Thursday (UTC+8), followed by Fed Chair Powell's monetary policy press conference at 3:30 (UTC+8). According to CME FedWatch, there is an 84% probability of a 25 basis point rate cut next week. The upcoming FOMC meeting is expected to be one of the most controversial in recent years, with investors focusing on the policymakers' divergent views on rate cuts and the signals Fed Chair Powell will send about the future direction of policy. Of the 12 FOMC voting members, 5 are opposed or skeptical of further easing monetary policy, while 3 members support a rate cut. Market Holiday Note: NYSE closes early at 2:00 Beijing time on Wednesday; US stock markets, several European markets, Korean markets, and Australian markets are closed on Thursday. Trading of CME Group's precious metals, crude oil, forex, and equity index futures contracts, as well as ICE's Brent crude oil futures contracts, will be suspended for the entire day.
