BlockBeats News, December 31st, Cryptocurrency industry leaders had high hopes for the 2025 market, however, Michael Saylor, Tom Lee, and Arthur Hayes' Bitcoin price predictions for the end of this year were not met.

BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes had previously stated in the first half of the year that Bitcoin would reach $200,000 or higher by the end of 2025, and in a November podcast, he said, "I will stick to my prediction, and of course, it's okay if I'm wrong." As December arrived, Hayes finally admitted that his past predictions were "pretty bad."

Tom Lee, the chairman of Ethereum's first treasury company BitMine, was very optimistic at the beginning of the year, stating in January on CNBC that he expected Bitcoin's price to skyrocket to $250,000 by the end of the year. By the end of November, Tom Lee had revised his prediction to above $100,000.

Strategy co-founder Michael Saylor also made overly optimistic predictions, stating at the beginning of the year that as institutions pour in, Bitcoin will continue to rise steadily. Finally, on October 29th, Michael Saylor said, "Our current expectation is that the price should be around $150,000 by the end of the year."
