BlockBeats News, December 5th: Ethereum Mainnet Activity Cools Down, with Mainnet Transfer Fees now lower than some Layer 2 networks, as tested by EmberCN:

The current mainnet transfer fee is only 0.0017 USD, while several major Layer 2 networks (such as Base, Arbitrum, Optimism) range from 0.0055 USD to 0.0079 USD, which is 3-5 times higher than the mainnet.

As of the time of publication, the Ethereum mainnet Gas fee is temporarily at 0.031 gwei.
